He who guards the city

The painting is done en plein air at Place Guillaume in Luxembourg during early autumn, beautiful time when the afternoon light becomes dense and warm, the sky still blue, the colours almost having weight as the city wraps itself up for the upcoming winter.

I miss these brilliant skies. People often stop to watch when I paint outside. One guy stops by and declares “you are Mexican!” 👀 Now I can’t help but wonder what it takes to look positively Mexican.
